At Shomvac Hope Foundation Africa, we hold firm to the
belief that every child deserves a loving home, caring families, and dedicated
caregivers who nurture their physical and emotional well-being and development.
Our core values include love, care, compassion, and philanthropy. We firmly
advocate that children belong in homes and families, not in institutions.

The Life of Okuku Derrick
Okuku Derrick, my cousin brother, has been bedridden
for over 15 years. This ordeal began with cerebral malaria when he was 4 years young,
which later developed into leprosy. As a family, we took immediate action by
seeking medical help at various hospitals in Uganda. However, during this
process, his condition worsened, and he lost the ability to talk, walk, sit,
feed himself or perform any tasks independently due to muscle atrophy.
Unfortunately, our family faced financial constraints, making it impossible for us to afford the ongoing medical expenses. Specialized healthcare professionals and highly skilled specialists are prohibitively expensive in Uganda. Therefore, I am reaching out to appeal to any specialists who may be able to help my dear brother regain his life.
We urgently need specialists to investigate the rare and devastating disease that has afflicted my brother for so many years. In essence, his suffering is indescribable.
Under the Shomvac Foundation Africa, we aim to share
this heartbreaking story with the world and with major health organizations. We
hope that this will bring attention to the plight of this young individual who
once had dreams and aspirations but now requires life-saving medical attention.
Otherwise, we have no choice but to entrust everything to the hands of God.
