Our Health Programs
About this program
At Shomvac Foundation Africa, we are deeply
committed to fostering a brighter future for Uganda by addressing critical
issues such as child education and the fight against HIV/AIDS. In this article,
we'll explore our comprehensive strategy for tackling these challenges, as well
as the ways we mobilize the necessary resources to carry out our mission.
Understanding HIV/AIDS situation in Uganda
From 2020 to 2023, Uganda has made significant
progress in reducing the percentage of people suffering from HIV/AIDS, thanks
to collective efforts, including those of Shomvac Foundation Africa. Our
organization has played a pivotal role in this endeavor through awareness
campaigns, testing, counseling services, and improved access to antiretroviral
treatment.
Our approach towards this program
Our approach extends beyond medical intervention. We emphasize education, stigma reduction, and community empowerment.
This comprehensive strategy involves:
Education and Awareness: We conduct extensive awareness campaigns in schools and communities to promote safe practices, awareness, and understanding of HIV/AIDS.
Testing and Counseling:
Our organization provides free, confidential HIV testing and counseling services, ensuring early detection and offering emotional support to those affected.
Antiretroviral Treatment (ART): We collaborate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely access to ART for those testing positive, enabling them to lead healthier lives
